DEMAND RESPONSE

GMTA believes that the rural communities which make up much of the central Vermont region deserve equitable access to public transportation.  In support of this belief, we offer a transit service known as demand response.  Demand response is provided to members of the public who contact GMTA 2 business days in advance of travel date to request a ride in conjunction with the existing demand service routes. 

Demand response routes currently service the following communities:

Moretown	Waitsfield	Montpelier
Plainfield	Marshfield	Barre

Established route locations currently provide service to the Twin Valley Seniors, Waitsfield Seniors, The Health Center in Plainfield, and Hospital Hill in Barre.  Service is provided on a limited basis and by reservation only.  Please note that standard commuter rates apply.
