Getting you where you need to go

Everyone has different transportation needs. That's why GMTA is your Ticket to Ride!

GMTA's Ticket to Ride Program is a collaboration between Vermont’s disabled community, the Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) and Green Mountain Transit Agency.

GMTA's Ticket to Ride Program is designed to address some of the different transportation needs that persons with disabilities or residents over 60 years old may have, by providing assistance with arranging and paying for the ride.

GMTA's Ticket to Ride Program cannot guarantee a ride everywhere, but we will certainly search all  resources available to provide your ride.

ELIGIBILITY – Applicants must meet both criteria:

1.      You must be a resident with a disability OR over 60 years of age from one of the 23 towns below:

Barre City, Barre Town, Berlin, Cabot, Calais, Duxbury, East Montpelier, Fayston, Marshfield, Middlesex, Montpelier, Moretown, Northfield, Orange, Plainfield, Roxbury, Waitsfield, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Williamstown, Woodbury, or Worcester.

2.      Your disability must meet the ADA (Americans with Disability Act) definition of a disability:

a)      A physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity.

b)      A record of such an impairment.

c)      Being regarded as having such an impairment.

GMTA can supply rides for any activity through this program. GMTA uses a variety of transportation modes, which allows our Transportation Schedulers to fit the ride to the caller's individual need.
