ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENT

The entire fleet of GMTA buses, 44 in all, began operating with an 80/20 biodiesel (B20) blend in the spring of 2007. Biodiesel is a clean burning alternative fuel made from vegetable oils and animal fats that releases fewer harmful toxins into the air, including sulfur and carbon, two materials largely responsible for acid rain and global warming.

GMTA also has an idling policy to ensure our buses don’t needlessly pollute our environment and use as little fuel as absolutely necessary.
