The story behind public transportation isn’t adequately described in the amount of funding spent or the number of riders that the service produces. The real story behind public transportation is the accessibility it provides those members of our community.  They rely on the service for trips to the doctor, to go shopping for groceries, to visit a senior center or meal site program and to bring them to the job which supports the economic stability of their family.  In short, it allows many without other means of transportation to lead meaningful and independent lives, which in turn contributes to the fabric of our great communities.

GMTA is honored to serve the counties of Washington, Lamoille, Franklin, Grand Isle, and three towns within Orange. This includes the communities of: Alburgh, Barre City, Barre Town, Berkshire, Berlin, Cabot, Calais, Duxbury, East Montpelier, Enosburg Falls, Fayston, Georgia, Highgate, Marshfield, Middlesex, Montpelier, Moretown, Morristown, Northfield, Orange, Plainfield, Richford, Roxbury, St. Albans, Sheldon, Swanton, Stowe, Waitsfield, Warren, Washington, Waterbury, Williamstown, Woodbury and Worcester.
